Such high quality and fresh food! The Cottage never disappoints! I always get the nachos - either regular or ahi tuna! (both are awesome)

Lively, bustling atmosphere but turned out yo be a great place for a first date. Food (lamb metaball shakshuka) was fabulously flavorful, desserts were scrumptious and the service was friendly and par excellence!

Good service, good interior, good food. Cant ask for much more. The portions were nice too. Had a bit of a wait to sit but wasnt too much of a problem. That said, it seems to be quite popular so reservations are recommended.

Amazing restaurant! The atmosphere was clean, modern, and yet comfortable, perfect for families or any guest. I ordered the lobster tacos, which were absolutely delicious, and my friends loved their dishes as well. I highly recommend this place!

Great food and service. Definitely try the steak bites! The meat is so soft and tender ✨️. The cod burger 🍔 and caprese sandwich 🥪 are also very delicious.

Shrimp toast appetizer was delish. Loved the scallops too! Dimming the lights a bit at dinner time would be nice; server was fantastic and we had a great dinner.

We had such a beautiful birthday dinner at The Cottage Wellesley, and I have to give a special shoutout to Grace Anne, who truly made the entire evening. You know how sometimes service can feel a little… performative? This was the complete opposite. She was genuinely engaging, warm, and so natural in the way she connected with us. Super attentive without hovering, on top of everything, and just effortlessly kind. She made our girls’ birthday dinner feel extra special in a way that you can’t fake, and that really stood out (she didn’t know it was a birthday celebration, but still made me feel special) The food was absolutely delicious, the service was flawless, and the entire experience felt thoughtful from start to finish. Five stars, without hesitation. And if you go, hope you get lucky enough to have Grace Anne.

Gorgeous restaurant in Wellesley, clean and bright and great simple menu. Lobster rolls were good and the side salad was fresh and seasoning were put aside which is great for those who watch out for calories! Lamb sliders were so delicious, juicy and well seasoned, kids menu is simple and portions were good. For dessert we had bread pudding and that was YUMMY and a must try! Service was excellent and attentive!

If you’ve spent any time in Needham, you’ve probably heard someone say, “Let’s go to The Cottage in Wellesley”. And for good reason. The Cottage has become one of those dependable, always-a-good-choice spots that works just as well for a casual lunch as it does for dinner or drinks. What I appreciate most is the balance. The space feels welcoming and lively without being overwhelming, whether you’re settling into the bar area for a relaxed meal or meeting friends for dinner. The bar itself is a real draw—comfortable, social, and a great place to linger. And if you’re hosting something more private, their private room is a wonderful option and often overlooked by people who haven’t been there before. The menu is thoughtfully done and genuinely approachable. The sandwiches stand out right away—served on nicely thick, toasted bread that actually holds up to the fillings. They’re satisfying without feeling heavy, and you can easily make a meal your own by pairing a half sandwich with a salad or soup. It’s the kind of flexibility that makes lunch meetings and quick dinners feel easy instead of rushed. What really makes The Cottage work, though, is that there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re craving a sandwich, a lighter option, or a more substantial dinner, the menu has range without trying too hard. It’s consistently good, familiar in the best way, and reliable—exactly what you want in a local favorite. It’s no surprise this spot stays busy. The Cottage has earned its reputation as a go-to in Needham, and it’s one of those places I’m always happy to recommend—because I know it delivers, every time.

Celebrated a birthday here with a party of 11. Carlos and Neide are such patient, attentive servers and ensured we had a special celebration! Everything came out promptly. Had a weird interaction with the host upon entry who emphasized the table time limit, but thankfully we were not rushed through the actual dining experience. Drinks were great (thanks Carlos for the Long Island!). Some appetizers were better than others (the Buffalo cauliflower is a must; calamari was solid. I’d pass on the eggplant fries). Entree was delicious but I wish there was a larger steak portion. Very accommodating of allergen needs. Desserts were shared amongst the table - highly recommend the bread pudding!
